Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic are going to perform and record all six Nielsen symphonies as well as his three concertos (for flute, clarinet, and violin). They will be released in four discs, the first in the fall of 2012 with the final disc to be released in the fall of 2015 to coincide with the 150th anniversary of Carl Neilsen's birth. Ricardo Morales will be recording the clarinet concerto, Robert Langevin on the flute, and Nikolaj Znaider on the violin.
